2023年9月6日，在中国澳门举办的机器翻译峰会MT-Summit2023上，华为诺亚方舟实验室的刘群教授获得国际机器翻译学会IAMT荣誉奖（IAMT Award of Honor），该奖是国际机器翻译领域的最高奖。这是中国学者首次获得该奖，也是中国机器翻译在国际舞台受到的巨大认可。
1 IAMT荣誉奖简介The Executive Committee of International Association for Machine Translation (IAMT) shall confer an award on the occasion of its biennial “MT Summit” conference to the individual member who in its opinion has made an outstanding contribution to the promotion and development of machine translation and/or to the aims and objectives of IAMT as defined in Article 2 of the association’s Bylaws. Nominations for the award may be made to the Executive Committee by any member of the IAMT Award of Honor Nomination Committee, comprising one member appointed by each of the three regional associations, not less than six months before the next “MT Summit” conference. 2 获奖人简介个人主页（https://liuquncn.github.io/index_zh.html）华为诺亚方舟实验室语音语义首席科学家 ACL Fellow刘群，1989年毕业于中国科学技术大学计算机系，1992年于中国科学院计算技术研究所获得硕士学位，2004年于北京大学获得博士学位。2012年7月之前，他是中国科学院计算技术研究所的研究员和自然语言处理研究组负责人。2012年7至2018年6月，刘群任都柏林城市大学教授、爱尔兰ADAPT研究中心（前身CNGL研究中心）自然语言处理主题负责人。目前担任华为诺亚方舟实验室语音语义首席科学家，负责语音和自然语言处理研究，研究方向主要是自然语言理解、语言模型、机器翻译、问答、对话、大语言模型等。研究成果包括汉语词语切分和词性标注系统、基于句法的统计机器翻译方法、篇章机器翻译、机器翻译评价方法、哪吒语言模型、盘古语言模型等。刘群承担或参与过多项中国、爱尔兰和欧盟大型科研项目，在国际会议和期刊发表论文 300余篇，被引用16000多次，培养国内外博士硕士毕业生50多人，获得过Google Research Award、ACL Best Long Paper、钱伟长中文信息处理科学技术奖一等奖、国家科技进步二等奖等奖项。工作经历
